Default major electrical issues

About a month ago I drove home and when I stopped the car wouldn't turn off. I pulled ignition fuse to turn it off. I replaced the ignition switch and now I cant get the starter to turn over. And the throttle motor wont quit whining. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi, Jay. Welcome to the forums. A lot of good information and a lot of friendly people willing to help. One thing the forum asks os to stop by the New Members section and post an introduction.

As for your problem I can't give any insight as to what might be happening as I can't say I have ever heard of your particular situation being discussed on here before. What would help you get more replies would be to detail more information on the issue. Things like did it happen out of the blue, did you just do any other work on the car before it happened, year/engine/transmission of your car and how long you owned it, any check engine lights or any other issues you have been battling on the car recently, and on and on. I'm sure you get the idea. That will help narrow down what is happening.

Good luck with your issue. Hope it turns out to be a simple fix.

If, when you changed the ignition switch, as part of it you also changed the Passive Anti Theft (PATS) transceiver that identifies the correct key, then until it is reprogrammed, the car will not start. Reprogramming is usually a dealer job (as opposed to reprogramming the key fob that is DIY)

The usual sign that all is not well is that when you turn the ignition On, the alarm system red light near the hand brake does not go out but keeps flashing.
