I think my factory ballast my be going bad, does anybody know the pin-out to one, or have an extra one?

Also does anybody have a pin-out for the headlight wire connector for a factory HID headlight.

Four Stroke, which side are you looking at messing with? That will help me give you a pin out for that connector. As for a ballast to install, send an e-mail to a member here by the name of "Brutal". He is a Jag tech and he normally has some broken HID headlight assemblies laying around his shop that I am sure you can pick up for fairly cheap. if not, look on e-bay. I bet over half of the ones that say they are good are actually suffering from the broken clips that a lot of us have suffered from. Not the cheapest way, but I know you can not get a Jaguar ballast without getting the whole assembly which runs like $400.

 

I am messing with the left side, and ebay does have a few ballasts for 120 or so but I found a website that sells just the ballast new for 135. But I am hoping to find a broken hid headlight at a local salvage yard, or maybe find a ballast from another brand of vehicle that uses the d2s hid bulb (I find it hard to believe that the ballast on the x-type is for the s-type only!) and I will send Brutal an email shortly.
