Hi Guys,
My Jag X-type (2004, AWD, Estate) auto gearbox is making strange noise similar to whine, squeaking, whistling. Sounds something similar, to pressure release. Somewhere around 1st and 2nd gears. No other noise while driving at high or middle speeds, only on low. Noise is single, not continuous. It gives it out while going to 2nd gear and it stops.

 

gearbox oil change ??

 

I was thinking about this, but technicians said, oil is ok. So I'm thinking to wait until autumn to change oil, as other stuff before winter.

I dont have authorized service near by, so couldnt get exact answer without taking gearbox apart.

Also the answer was, that there might be some valve opening, but it doesnt seem as a gearbox isue...
