I've had my X since November 2008. It's an '04 3.0 with about 24,000 miles, quartz exterior with a gray interior. I love it. It looks elegant, drives smoothly and is very comfortable. The car is sturdy for sure. I haven't, to date, had any issues with the vehicle (and this is something, considering my family has the worst luck when it comes to vehicles). By the way, mine isn't a sport model and I prefer the non-sport look to the sport. Don't know why, just do.

As with any vehicle, be prepared for expenses associated with the car. Get it checked out, get a Carfax report and hopefully hold out for a vehicle with the colors/options you want at the price you want to pay. You will love this car - I still am not used to all of the head-turns and open mouth stares when I drive by (moreso even than with my '05 5 Series and '07 3 Series). And to the guy who said his seat heaters took forever to heat up - mine heat up in no time flat, and not only do they heat quickly, but they get very warm, almost too warm, quickly.

Enjoy!

My seat heaters warm up fast too. They get warm in seconds, and heat-up both faster and to a higher temperature than the ones in my Porsche.

^^ If they are malfunctioning just get your wife to go and sit in the drivers seat for 10 minutes while you are having breakfast :)

^^^ I like the chrome highlights on my non-sport. They don't stand out so garishly on a silver model IMO

Hmm. Yea mine have always taken about 3-5 mins to warm up. And by that time, my heater is already working. The bimmer takes seconds and they warm up MUCH hotter than the jags.
