Adaptive Cruise Control

Hello All

Two days ago I ended up purchasing a 2017 jaguar XE 35T R-Sport. I absolutely love the car but found out today that my car doesn't have the adaptive cruise control option. This is unfortunate as it was one of the main reasons for purchasing a newer vehicle. I've looked around the forum and it looks like other Jaguar models have been retrofitted with the adaptive cruise control but I can't find anything specifically on the XE. Does anyone know what parts are required for the retrofit? I've found the distance sensing module and steering wheel buttons but figure it will take more than just plugging in a few new parts. Is this even possible? I'm going to the dealership in tommrow but figured I'd check here first.

Thanks for the help,

Kurt

Truk,

On the 2017 R-Sport I found the following (from AutoTrader):
"Extra equipment includes a dedicated sportier suspension tune, sport seats up front, adaptive headlights, LED daytime running lights and a rear spoiler. This trim level is also eligible for advanced safety features such as forward-collision alert with autonomous braking and a self-parking function. However, it does come standard with a blind spot monitoring system and lane-keep assist."

By saying it is "eligible" for it, I think it was an option only. I doubt very much that you could add the parts to make the system work. Imagine the Jaguar lawyers if it didn't work in a crash! I wish I had it too but ....

Thank you for the answer. I'm assuming it won't be possible but I am willing to research it at the very least. I will ask the dealer tomorrow and let you guys know. That said, I doubt the dealer would say yes even if it was possible.

The following link is where I started my search for the retrofit option. I'm hoping the XE retrofit is possible.

I would have a hard time believing any Jaguar dealer would want to be involved in fitting this to your car. A high end audio place would be more competent to install it if it can be done.
