Why is it that my XE's NAV system will only find addresses that are in the state I live in? For example, I live in DE and it will find any DE address by searching the ZIP, city or street address with no problem, but as soon as I try to find a PA, NJ, MD or VA address by ZIP or street, it won't find it. If I try to search by ZIP, it runs out of options as soon as I get to the second or third number of the ZIP code. Also, why does it not let me begin a search by state? My only options are City, ZIP or Street address.


Am I doing something wrong? I live in a tiny state and it's not at all unusual for me to travel to neighboring states three or four times a week. I end up having to use my phone for navigation any time I need to travel out of the state.

I am not familiar with your Nav system but it sound like you have to specify the state BEFORE you put in the address. Try that first.

 

That is certainly true of the nav system with the 10 inch screen... first you select the state, then the city, etc.

 

Thanks, but no option to select or search by state. Only street, town or zip code.

 

Can you post a photo of the Navigation display?

 

There should be a state option.
