Helping a friend with a 2009 XF with water hose leaking under supercharger, can someone give me some tips on doing this job?

Thanks

Do you have the shop manual? You may be able to download it from here:

Hi Charlie! Great you found the forum and your question is one of the most common?
Follow up on the post above as you will want and need the service manual as bad as it is. We don't have anything better.

Consider the big picture BEFORE you start this? The car is old and ALL the cooling hoses need changed at this point. So plan on changing them and replacing the coolant as well. It's just plain old Dex-Cool so nothing special at all. Unfortunately the SC cars have a LOT of hoses.

I had to remove the engine on my car to perform this job. Yep, to replace a coolant hose. Thread here https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...-2-sv8-242754/
I believe it might be possible to remove the supercharger on a LHD car without removing the engine from the vehicle, probably not much easier though.
