Default 2013 XF Supercharged won't start . BCM?

Greetings, I have a 2013 Supercharged AWD 6 Cylinder. It won't start. Just a few lights on the dash come on.
Mechanic says it needs a new BCM (Body control module). But recommends a new one not used. Anyone ever dealt with this ?
I've seen used ones being sold online.
Dealer wants $4k for a new one. Any suggestions? Thank you

Is the "mechanic" a Jaguar dealer or independent and how did he come to that conclusion. And BCM = Battery Control Module I believe.

I'm grabbing at straws, but sharing my experience... at $4,000 it's worth discussing.
My 2013 XF-R wouldn't start and the forum noted, "push the brake pedal" harder... it worked.

I realize this is a "hail mary" level note for you to consider.
