hi all, wanted to share an oil analysis report from last fall on my 87,750 mile 2010 XF 5.0 supercharged. Sent to Blackstone Labs and paid about $40 if i remember correctly. To me looks pretty decent. not sure what bearing and timing chains would look like if they were disintegrating, but i'm guessing it's in pretty good shape.
just had the report done to satisfy my curiosities.
only had 3,500 mile interval this time but the oil was pretty dark in color already and smelled like fuel a bit to me. report says it's well within "normal"..

 

Interesting, thanks for this. For that money I think I'll definitely be doing the same for my (rebuilt) engine once I drain the oil.
