Hi All,

I bought the following kit to refill my cooling system.

I plan on diluting Dex-Cool Prestone concentrate.

I recently replaced many of the plastic components. I am aware of the bleeder valve on passenger side. What is the capacity of the cooling system? Do forum members have advice on how to best refill? I was thinking I should prime my new water pump, thermostat, etc.

 

just fill it with the bleeder open and it will suddenly drink the coolant out of the tank. no need to prime anything

the vacuum filler is a tool of last resort

 

Just bumping this as I am about to pour, but wanna know if I should go out and buy the tool or just fill and bleed.

anyone else have experience with filling w/o a vac tool?

 

Just fill and bleed - I've done it a few times no issues. Also - I would recommend using the pre diluted antifreeze or only use distilled water to dilute.
