aftermarket TPMS sensors

Anybody with aftermarket wheels run into any issues with aftermarket TPMS? For example, the 315mhz TPMS sensors on that popular auction site?

Thx for your time.

I don't know which TPMS you bought but Jaguar doesn't make their own. Ford type TPMS are needed. I don't know which frequency they use.

Someone here bought used sensors from tire rack or eBay, can't recall, cheap. I don't think they had issues. You may need to provide more detail to get better Resonses. Did you purchase sensors, are they not working?

I didn't buy any yet. Just questioning because I was under the impression they were Ford units myself. Called a few local rim shops and I am getting conflicting stories. One shop says they're Ford and another claims have to use Jaguar specific. Just wondering if someone else had gone down this road before.

Thx all

When I was looking at a new set of wheels, my tire shop told me they use a generic 315 hz sensor that is programmed to the Jag. I know some of the prices were pretty steep for sensors. Try an XF forum search as the thread is not that old. I had prices from $75-$125 each.

There is some info on this thread towards the end that may help. You don't say what model/year Jag you have.
