With all the hoopla over the 2016 XF, which is your favorite model. First, second or third generation. Curious to know everyone's reasons.

I have a 2010 Premium Luxury in lunar gray and LOVE it! Extensivly modified but I've tried to trade in and upgrade to the fafelift but I back out every time. It's a combination of things, but the two main reasons are the engine tuning, they just don't sound like my original 4.2 V8, and all my mods simple make mine look so much better!! IMHO! And mine hasn't had any major issues except a few electronic gremlins that a simple reprograming has tidied up.
I do love the facelift front improvements but honestly, once I had my 09 headlights refinished in black, it totally updated my car. I'll probably trade after the new model finalky starts hitting the showrooms as mine is soon to be out of warranty (but what's the difference in keeping it and simply maintaining as I do my 02 XK8) but I'll have to look long and hard to find the right facelift.

I kind of lost interest when the 5.0 N.A. engine went away... :-(

So I'm planning to look for a '15 XK 5.0 N.A., in a couple of years, when my "Satin Edition" 4.2 S-Type is finally ready for replacing.

I fell in love with almost everything about the XF when it first launched, except the headlights. I wanted it to be similar looking to the concept, but was slightly disappointed.

The facelift had me drooling, so I waited for the right one and purchased mine. I am really happy with my current car. But, I am sucker for new things, so the new XF looks the best to me now. The white XF-S model they have been showcasing in car shows, is exactly how I would configure mine.

I'm due for a replacement in 2020 or when I hit 100k miles. My plan is to wait to see if I even like how the new one feels and what power plants are offered. If none have the "soul" of my current XFR, I'll either keep it out of warranty, find a used 2015 XFR or R-S with low miles and add an extended warranty, or possibly go to something else.

From what I've seen, I'm luke warm. But that doesn't mean I won't like it more when I see it in person or that it won't grow on me the first year or so it's out (which has happened more than a few times).

I do know that I'm so far from wanting or needing anything else that I can be completely objective in my assessment of the MkIII. Which is nice because by the time I would move forward, I'd know if it was the right decision. Until then, I'm going to get as much enjoyment out of mine that I can. Philhef, I would suggest you do the same

I just received my car back from service for leaking shock and broken sunroof clip. Missed the car and it was only gone 4 days. Power, styling, etc. Hit the accelerator on the on ramp on way home just to feel supercharger kick in...I am craving more though.....less body roll, the better fit and finish and feel of F-type and even though I am not hung up on the technology, when you see the updated graphics it does draw you in. I was thinking F-type or XKR, XFR or s versions of K or F. Does it ever end?

If I had the money, I'd go the Steve Moal route, custom car from ground up.
