Default Normal RPM at idle for the 5.0L

Once the engine is warm, what would (or should) the normal RPM be for the engine at idle?

Yep, mine did too.
From memory that is the correct hot idle RPM.

The target idle in a calibration is 650rmp for hot engine, but
It can be increased in case of
-low battery
-engine or trans too hot
-too big diffrence between ambient temp and requested A/C temp
-catalitic converters too hot (protection) or too cold (heating)
