Sirius ID HELP Jaguar XF 2010
I recently purchased a pre owned 2010 Jaguar XF. I have one issue not concerning the performance of the car. The Sirius Service had never been activated in the car, it now being 7 years old the ID once displayed on the sat screen is long gone. I have two options pay a dealership nearly $200 to hook my car to the computer or take the free route attempting to find the sat box in which I've been told is in the trunk no exact location given. Any help would be appreciated . Also if there's an easier way I would love to hear it.

I had the same problem when I had a 2010XFR - no radio ID on the nav screen. The dealer said the unit was under the driver seat and they said they would find the ID without charge...

Thank you but the dealership I bought from is not a jaguar dealer just a pre owned. I did contact multiple dealerships and all are going to charge me. This may be because I'm a female whom over the phone I sound much younger than I am. Rather i find this myself and save the money. I did find a FOMCO reciever but it belongs to my Bluetooth for my handsfree or my navigation not sure which. It doesn't contain the Sirius. I will check under the drivers seat.

https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...module-146185/ BTW I don't think the missing ID in the display has anything to do with how old the activation was, it just seems to be a "thing". The other option you might try before taking the car apart is to try your VIN number in the Sirius site or give them a call. If it was previously registered then the VIN number may be on record and tied to the receiver ID. |
Thank you SXM BOX under drivers seat!
Thank you so much for sharing! I did succeed in getting a free 2 months of Sirius and activating my service in my beautiful blue baby!

Next time, I believe you just tune to channel "0" (zero) to see your radio's ID #.
