Default Swirls on new car

Hi Iam the now the very happy owner of an XF, and like some others on this forum fell into the after sales paint protection honeytrap. I have already committed to it so no use crying over spilt milk .My query is that I am to take it in today for the protection application and was told to give the car a quick wash prior ,,which I did ,but in doing so noticed quite a few swirls on mainly the bonnet (hood)...As this was a demo (1800km on the odo) can I insist they be rectified while in for the paint protection....
Cheers. Peter

They should take care of that before painting, otherwise they will be trapped forever. They did a decent job removing mine before painting. They didn't get all of them, but I have to look hard to find any swirls afterward.

Thanks for the info, while I was giving it a wash I also noted a blemish in the paint, pointed this out to the dealer and they are going to redo the bonnet under warrenty.
Very happy

Great result Peter.

Swirls can be inflicted and present on cars in the showroom from new as you know.
Sadly only the very keenest eyes pick them up, most simply take it as being the norm.

Glad you got it all sorted
