Anyone else having problems docking their IPhone with the XF? I have a 09 and my first Iphone 4s worked fine for months. Then suddenly it wouldn't dock but it was connected properly because it would still charge(I have the adapter). So I had apple replace the phone, and the new iphone docked right away. Now, a few months later, I'm having the same docking problems I had before with the previous phone. Sometimes it will play for a while, then cut-off. It's not a short because it will do this even when the car is not in motion and in a still/secured position. At first I thought it was Apple with all their updates and new software IOS but I'm not sure.

Anyone else having this problem?

 

Personally I've found that setting up Bluetooth and streaming then just using a car charger (either a charge only cable or a 12v adapter) works much better then docking in the Jag. Also gives the benefit of being able to control from either the radio or the iphone itself.

 

Unfortunately, the 09 does not have bluetooth audio streaming. I gave up with the dock connector because I upgraded to iTunes Match for my music. Most accessories and other (newer) cars I've tried it on since have not functioned correctly either, it doesn't properly read the music on my device with Match turned on.

 

Yeah I wish it did have Bluetooth for audio. But it worked fine when I first got the phone. I'm thinking the many apple updates may have Changed something in the phone.

 

I use the AUX and it works great. You lose the feature of using the head unit but I don't find it to be a problem. I can find songs a lot quicker just using the phone.

 

Did you ever get to the bottom of this as suddenly my iphone 6 wont dock to my xf after working fine for 6 months - and the IOS hasn't changed recently either.

 

Experiencing the same issues with my iPhone not docking with my 2011 XF...
