What is this sensor by front right brake duct?

Question What is this sensor by front right brake duct?

What is this sensor in the photo below?

It is hanging free and was sitting on top of the plastic front belly pan.

I don't think that's a sensor. I think it's an unused connector.

In the back of my mind I'm thinking my car has the same thing dangling in the same area. Probably for something USA cars are not euipped with

Both my X300's have that connector but I never figured out what it was so I hid it up with the other wiring. I wonder if it's something fog light related?

Nope, mine a uk spec x300 ive the same wires ,
maybe some sort of headlight washer system?
Ive found loads of extra plugs and wires in my X300 3.2 sport.
