Default Octopus Hose MNC6733AE - RESOLVED

Today I sprang a leak in my hose at one of the T joints. Oddly my hose does not resemble the hose that is in the pics online. Mine looks like the hoses instead of clamping on a T joint are welded together. Instead of forking out $150 for a new hose my plan is to buy a T connector and splice it in where the T is ripped. I attached pics to reference what I'm talking about. Does anyone know the I.D. of the hose? I'll probably just take it to the hardware store tomorrow and see if there is an aluminum T that will fit.

I don't think you will have trouble getting a t-joint. I have used gray "heavy duty" plastic connectors. No problems after four years. You may want to splice in new stock hose to "freshen" the octopus.

Default ***update***

I ended up cutting the T off where the hole was. I the replaced with a 1"x1"x1" brass fitting. When reinstalling I broke the Norma fitting. It was old and very brittle. I replaced the Norma fitting with another T this time 1"x1"x1/2" because the is a 1/2" hose coming off the top. Hooked it all back up. The hardest part was getting my hands and pliers down there to get the hose clamps off. Uggh need more joints and longer arms! Anyways I filled it up with antifreeze again and ran it for 2 mins at around 2k rpm to bleed the system as I saw on another post on here thanks to Jim Lombardi! https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...ng-baby-55930/

No leaks! Runs cool... from what I can tell. I read the temp gauge doesn't really read the temp until after it gets too hot then shuts down. Luckily I don't think I ran it dry and it never overheated. I think this case is closed.
