Default Light fantastic, the aluminum xj story

When I bought my 2004 XJ8, the dealer had a Jaguar sales magazine in the showroom. Included was the story of the development of the aluminum XJ's.

Interesting article, somewhat off topic but racing sidecars have used aluminium monocoques for a number of years, where all the engine support and and steering components are hung off the monocoque structure, to look at them you would expect them to fall apart.
