Default Have rattles/squeaks been addressed on new cars?

Hello,

I am inquiring about a possible purchase of a newly delivered 2012 XJL. Can anyone confirm if the newer cars have a higher build quality (no squeaks/rattles/pops) than the 2010 builds?

I love the look of the car, but have no time or patience to deal with annoying squeaks in a $90k car.

Thank you in advance,

Roger

From having a 2011 that was bought back for the rattling, I can confirm that my 2012 has had no such issue. I'm 2000 miles in.

I have an 2011 and didn't start having issues with my roof until 12000 miles.

I just completed the recall work on the rattling last week. They had to replace bushings in the roof with rubber ones, versus plastic that were originally installed. The repair seems to work as I expected. I haven't heard the annoying rattling since I picked up the car.
