Really good looking Stuart! How about a picture installed is you can and what are you thinking price wise?

They just arrived here a couple hours ago, they are leaving today for our test-fitter's place so probably next week.

We're going to be offering them at $249, probably with a 'pre-order' pricing for when we start production.

I'll take a pair

Those look great and I'd like a pair in red. Will the +- be hollowed out or led lit?

Stuart S 06-27-2018 02:10 PM

They are NOT illuminated. See Post #14, above.

JagGate 07-02-2018 03:30 PM

I am guessing that the only people that have illuminated +- are those of us with the interior lighting package? I wonder if there is some wire that would have to dangle if you had that once you put these aftermarket ones on. No biggie for me I dislike these a lot I think bling does not belong on the XJ but curious with others that like these.

Hank Scorpio 07-02-2018 03:49 PM

I think everyone might have light up +/-. I just noticed last night that mine light up, and i dont have the interior lighting package.

Stuart S 07-02-2018 05:26 PM

^^^ What Hank said. Mine light up, too, and I don't have the Illumination Package.

Angus 07-03-2018 07:22 AM

I think it's more than likely that there is some sort of phosphorescent paint involved. Rather than a lighting source as such.

Do you have an XJ? They most certainly DO light up.

Just joking! For some reason the light looks strange in the bottom one and looks fake! You can tell in the top picture the white is sort of translucent compared to the white on the stalk of the multi function switch.

IMO these aftermarket paddles make the interior of the car less cool since it loses functionality....

Okay, these are successfully test-fitted. Live on the website and available on pre-order with a $50 discount until the 20th. Use coupon code JAGPADDLES at checkout. There will be two versions offered - either Silver or Black. If you'd like a color matched or custom painted version we'd recommend doing that locally where a body shop can match the colour to your car.

Ship date is estimated at August 1st.

Wouldn't it have been easier then to just go out and check the +/- for a light like I did? ;)

Hmm.

I attempted to purchase from the website but couldn't get it to go through. Any chance you can post a pair on eBay buyer

Looks like for some reason it was triggering some Fraud filter on the Ecommerce platform. Not sure why. If you email info@velocityap.com with your billing and shipping addresses and phone number we can send you a payment link to try.

I use my paddles daily. It’s always amazed me how the majority of drivers I follow commercial vehicles included go down a hill with their brakes on. They do the same to reduce speed when approaching a traffic island. I use engine braking to reduce my speed and not my brakes.
I often see the same folk at junctions with their foot on the brakes instead of using the hand brake, Doh!

I am with you on the constant braking. Even in cars without paddles, you can slow down without stabbing at your brakes every 30 seconds. The paddles just make it that much easier and better, and the downshifts in this car are quite satisfying if you catch it correctly.

That being said, i definitely dont use my ebrake when i am at a stoplight. Though in the XJ it is a bit different, cuz once it is on, you can just push the gas and it turns off, but most cars are not like that. I would rather just sit with my foot on the brake for a few moments than dick around needlessly with the ebrake.

My 16 year old nephew thinks the same way. He just got his license too. :icon_toast:
