Hello all and Happy Thanksgiving. It's been awhile. Fortunately my XJR made it through 2022 with no issues.

Does anyone know if any 2008 XJ's were built without the facelift grill and bumper. I'm looking at a low mileage Vanden Plas but it has a chrome grill and the old style bumper cover. I'm curious if someone perhaps changed it or there was an undisclosed boo-boo.

 

In 2007 a handful of models were built that are basically 2008 models without the facelift. My 2007 XJR is one of them and it's designated as an X356. From what I understand there were not a lot of them built. I don't know if any Vanden Plas models were built that way. You may be able to tell by the vin number.
