Finally got chance to fit my new intake tube earlier today.
Asked for one from Caldoofy & can definitely say it was more than worth the wait!
Excellent quality & a massive improvement over the factory item.
Thanks again!
Tony.

How much are these caldoofy tubes? i got into a major battle today with the plastic garbage Jaguar saw fit to use for the air box and lid and ridiculous intake apparatus.

Somebody pretty much copied my username LOL.

I also have a Caldoofy. It looks nice, makes a slightly different sound. Can't say I gained any power but I don't care, I bought it for more noise.

Well done for making one up however they are not exactly the same are they, I believe yours is 75mm aluminium vs the 80mm stainless version that I make. By using the 75mm (presumably for cost reasons) means that you now have a restriction due to reduced surface area in your intake system (the standard air box diameter is 80mm) which means you are not getting the maximum benefit from this modification.

Very possible Caldoofy...Yours I'm sure is better and many here would rather have a bolt on unit like yours instead of going through the headaches of assembling the parts and building the intake from scratch...I'm just a cheapskate!

When I built mine I found that the MAF housing tube was slightly smaller than the aluminum tubing.

I tried forcing it but was unable to with reasonable force so ended up with a coupler.

So if my aluminum tubing is 75mm the MAF housing tube is either exactly 75 mm or less.

So there is already a "restriction" at that point.
