Can anyone help me ID this sensor? It clips onto the air filter box where circled, two wires, assume it's the Intake Air Temp, but the manual shows that as part of the MAF. It has to be a temp sensor of some sort.

Was it seperated out in later models? The FSM shows nothing (of course).
Also, it looks like Jag deleted the intake resonator sometime in the 2006.5 MY. I wonder if this is where all the intake noise I dislike is coming from...

yes, there's a VIN split for that 'baffle' thing.
the only thing I could find in the parts catalog in that area is for the supercharged model's solenoid-controlled aux air flap.
Intake air temps are monitored on the S/C cars also, but not the N/A. Ambient air temp sensor is in an opening of the bumper, so that can't be it either.

That circle part is the actuator for the flap in the airbox to open up when extra air is needed for the engine like WOT run etc.
IAT is one of the two blop looking thinigy in the MAF sensor.

Hmm, okay, so the IAT is part of the MAF. That makes sense. I definitely have something giving the PCM intake air temps, as I can read that data with my scan tool.
I wonder what that sensor is stuck to the side of my air box... guess I can disconnect it and see what data stream changes.
My N/A airbox has no additional flap or actuator like the SC models.
