Looking for the best extended warranty

Hi All,
I just purchased my first Jaguar! I think I got a great deal but on an older model. I purchased a 2005 XJR supercharged with 45,000 miles for less than 25K. It is a beautiful car. I am now trying to purchase a warranty for the vehicle. I bought it from a local luxuary dealership; therefore, they were unable to offer me a warranty. I've been searching... Most companies want 3-4K. The nearest Jag dealership wants 6700 for a 3 year 36K miles. Can anyone advise with the names of reputable companies that I should check out? Thanks!!

Sounds like a load your dealership told you. Any dealer can sell extended warranties. Just as you could buy one, mark it up and sell it to someone else.
I used (I think it's called) AA Auto Warranty and it worked out well for me. The only repair I had under the warranty; torque converter, was repaired without jumping through hoops.
I paid about $2500.00 USD for a 3 year warranty.

I got Easy Care Totalcare Warranty with my car. Been great to deal with. I'm told they are the same company that handles Jaguar Select Warranty claims (CPO), so they are familiar with the odds and ends of the Jags.
You could also check with your preferred shop to see who they have worked with in the past - the service advisors usually have a good grasp on which companies are the least favorable or like to do all they can to wedge out of a warranty claim.
I'd also make absolutely sure you are getting exactly what you want out of the warranty you choose - I got screwed on my last one. I had understood that I was signing up for Drivetrain, suspension and electrical - what I got was only drivetrain. Went back to read the actual paperwork that I signed and that was all that was there. Moral of the story make sure that you pay attention to the details of the paperwork for any exclusions et al.
