A month in and I have a couple gremlins...
So its been about a month since I picked up my latest XJ and Ive had a couple things that might be cause for concern.
First off the check engine light came on after playing race car driver against my partner and his Expedition. I put the code reader on it and all it showed was P1111 (generic) so I cleared it and it hasnt come back. I normally dont drive my XJ's that hard so im wondering if she was just pissed about it, LOL.
The other gremlin im sure is more common. Air Suspension Fault light has reared its ugly head 3 times in a month. While there is no set reason for it, it just happens. As in when I leave in the morning its not on but I stop at the gas station shut off the car then when I start it to leave the lights on. I then drive to my office, 3-4 hours later come out to go to lunch and its off........ for a week or more.
I dont notice anything in regard to it sitting low in the front of back, no odd noises, just a whenever it feels like doing it. I did a quick search but found more problematic issues discussed than mine.
Thoughts ?

The most common problem seems to be the compressor. The car gives it a set amount of time to reach a certain pressure, I think it's either 120 or 180 seconds, and if it doesn't meet that time parameter you get a code. Of course, as the compressor wears it takes it longer reach full pressure, hence the light. If the suspension works okay otherwise, that is probably the issue. I had that problem with mine after 70k miles.
