My read sunshade goes up and down like a charm.. but:

It winds only 80%, so the rest can be seen.

I suspect, the power to wind up has decreased over time.
Is there an easy way to fix or do I have to remove rear seats to get this fixed ?

 

Can you manually move it all the way down? Mine was very finicky after years of not being used.

 

how do you deploy / retract the shade? I never tried !

 

There's a little button in the front overhead console on my 06 SV8.

 

I can move it completely up and down using the button, so the motor is fine.
But it doesn't wind up completely, when it's on the down position.
Maybe there's a spring lost or weak somewhere inside ?
