I have a 04 xj8 with 128000 miles on it. i have the notorious "air suspension fault" message on my cluster and was wondering if i can take it to any auto parts store to get something like that scanned. or is that a dealer only scan type deal?

i already checked relay #4 under the hood and thats ok. air ride is completely deflated.

also searched the whole site for places to get my xj8 scanned and couldn't find anything so i had to make a post.

Almost any auto parts store will read codes for free, but they can't read body codes, just engine. Most foreign car specialist shops have software for Jag.
