Hi all,
I have a 2005 XJ8 VDP that has been giving me some trouble these last few days and I was wondering if you could help? We use it mainly as secondary/trip car, and keep it in the garage at our summer house to avoid the harsh Chicago winters/ road salt. Due to this, I am only able to start it about once a month from December to May and that is why I'm assuming the battery died. So yesterday, I purchased a battery charger, rather than risk jumping it, popped open the trunk and three hours later the device read that the battery was 100% charged. Right after this, I hopped in the car and turned the key- nothing. No lights in the cabin or crank when I turn the key. It seems that the car is not drawing any power from the battery for some reason? I did a little research and tried resetting the inertia switch and the alarm which lead to no effects. Right now I'm about out of ideas...should I call AAA in the morning or have some of you experienced this same issue and can give me some tips on what to do?
