Default 1995 XJR "opportunity"

Hello

An "opportunity" has arisen to acquire a 1995 XJR. Is there anything in particular I should have checked out on this car? To my untrained eye it seems very nice.

More importantly... does anyone know of an independent mechanic in southern Maine/New Hampshire who could work on it when needed? There are 2 dealers but I am assuming their parts and labor rates would be Sky High. I am also willing to do some work on it myself.

Thanks

What you call it as an opportunity might be a nightmare as well .Still, I believe that those rides are almost bullet proof . Well, being an XJR you wanna make sure that the supercharger works and runs fine .As far as I'm concerned, every certain miles the supercharger needs some maintenance unlike "flat" versions .

Most items that were are the same as the non-supercharged cars: ball joints, clock, steering wheel reach and tilt motors, wheel bearings.

I would jump on it and make sure the tranny feels good. That would be my biggest concern. You've got to figure the PO bought it to enjoy the extra power.
