Door Handle Rod
I've had to replace a rear outside door handle. Which went generally well, except for the end of the rod which attaches to the latch. It's plastic and for the life of me I cannot get it to slip onto the ball at the latch end. I've tried pushing with my thumb, pushing with pliers, and prying with a screw driver. Nothing has worked. Any tips, tricks, or techniques would be greatly appreciated. Even words of encouragement would be a help. ''Don't worry son, you'll get someday." Thanks

It sucks. I don't recall how I eventually got it, but I think ultimately you stick your hand in there, basically in the blind and squeeze it in place. I don't think there's any tool, or method that works any better than any other.
Good luck.
