Drivers seat fore & aft slop

Perhaps this is covered in another thread(s) here in the X300 or X308 forums, but didn't find it offhand. If so, please feel free to link the other threads.

But I was wondering if anyone has come up with a fix for the inevitable fore & aft "slop" (looseness) that develops over time in the seat track. What I'm describing is the slight movement in the seat base fore & aft when accelerating or braking (or can be manually done by rocking back and forth). This is clearly a mechanical wear issue with the track or gears in the power seat mechanism.

This is a very common problem across many makes/models, and in fact every car I've owned except for our Honda Pilot has eventually exhibited this problem over time as the mechanism wears.

Sometimes it is "unfixable" without replacing with a new track/motor, other times one can bend a track, tighten a bracket, or replace a gear.

So I was curious if anyone has tackled this issue on the X300 seat and discovered what it takes to tighten it back up.

I have the same issues and it bothers me to my bone marrow.

Well, the "slop" has gotten noticeably worse in the last few months, specifically on the right side, so I guess I'll have to take out the seat to see what's working loose.

I also duplicated this post by accident at one point:

Anyway, the issue and question remains, anyone know what part tends to loosen over time to allow this movement?
