Intrusion Sensors

How can I test the intrusion sensors on my X300? I don't think they are connected...

try opening the trunk with the key while the vehicle is locked. it should set off the alarm

No, I'm talking about the sensor things on the roof in the main cabin like this:

They point towards the doors, and I was assuming that they were some kind of optical motion sensor.
