I have just bought a 1997 XJR and the service manual was missing. I was told that the car has a a computor on board for aveage MPG, Fuel remaing etc if it does can anyone tell me how to use it. Plus I need a service manual realy is there one out there that some one has put together for free download..

Pushing the end of the turn signal stalk with scroll you thru the trip computer dsiplays. The reset button is to the right of the steering wheel. The "odo" button returns you to the odometer instantly without having to scroll the the t/c funtions.

Serivice manuals are readily available on CD. Check with Jag parts vendors, Ebay, or JDHT. There are some compatibilty issues with Vista, though.

Don't know of a freebie download but someone here might have a source for one.

Bought a 1998 XJR this year - the computer for avg fuel, trip etc doesn't work.
Just ordered the OBD computer (recommended by someone on one of these chats).
Hope I can work out why.

When I bought my XJR this year it had no manuals.
I found the owner's manual online.
I can scan and email to you if you need it.
The Jag link has nothing earlier than the year 2000

I live in Ontario but was born in the UK so have always wanted a Jag and now I have it.. Should just give out my email address on the forum is what? Just let my know..
