The fact the car died after you fitted the new crankshaft position sensor, and now won't run on the old one, makes me think the wiring to the crankshaft position sensor, or the connector itself may be at fault. Check these out and see what happens.

https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...l-woes-171624/ When a DIYer tried to help me remove the fuel tank, a plastic buckle that joined a harnesses from the cabin to the trunk broke loose unnoticed, and this had cut off power or resulted in incomplete signals to ignite reaching the engine bay. Hope this is not your issue, but bare wires or poor ground are often the quiet suspects. |

What is the status for your car . Don't need a long detail at this time . Just some info on the strength of your spark and not it's control .
