Please follow this link New Member Area - Intro a MUST - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the New Member Area - Intro a MUST forum and post some info about yourself and your vehicle for all members to see. In return you'll get a proper welcome and some useful advice about posting to the forum.

Hi deecee,

Welcome to the forum! Use the forum search function to search for Idle Air Control Valve, which is supposed to regulate the idle speed under control of the Engine Control Module (ECM), but with age it tends to accumulate gunk and sieze.

Vacuum leaks or intake air leaks after the Mass Air Flow Sensor (MAFS) are other common contributors to fast or rough idle.

I'm sure other members will offer other ideas, but there's plenty of information available already if you'll use the search window at the top of the page.

Cheers,

Don
