I am re assembling the trunk from a half finished attempt by the previous owner. I need some pictures of the route the wiring loom takes to get to the switches and trunk lights. Does the loom go from the car, inside the plastic hinge cover, and then to the lights etc? Any help would be appreciated.

Yes on the hinge cover as the wires go under the metal arms

Where on that wiring does it sometimes go bad (wear through the insulation)?

 

Notice the black tywraps as might be needed like mine . Never inspected for wiring damage just adder more wires for options
