Beeping is haunting me

Hello - My 1999 vdp, changed the clock, then the wood, then the steering wheel all from my 2003 xj8 parts car. Now I have a security?? beeper that comes on a couple seconds after I start the car. 5 beeps pause 5 more pause and does this for a total of 5 times-total 25 beeps. Then driving it does it all again every 30 mins. Did hard reset, plugged in air bags again, took out fuse #3 and #9 I think it was 9 for security sounder?? nothing stopped the beeping. Does anyone know how to stop this??? fix, unhook, take out fuse, shoot it, anything that will stop the beeping. Thank you and Merry Christmas to all. Ed

I would scan ALL the modules in the car. There is a DTC logged in a module but an OBDII engine code reader will NOT communicate with ALL the modules.
You need to find someone with a dealer lever DTC reader.

You can also try and check the climate control for error codes, post 8 here https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...54/#post454861

A burned-out air bag dash light will trigger the beeping you describe. Check to make sure it lights up when you turn the key to the on position.

Thank you-I will check that out-BUT I also noticed the 2 straps on air bag passenger side attached to the wood panel are cut-would that cause the beeping????? Thank you Ed

That would not trigger the beeping, but it should trigger your attention.
Something happened before, and you are probably on to something.
Just be careful if you plan any work on the airbags; According Jaguar, you will need to disconnect the battery, and wait at least ONE minute before proceeding.

Thank you-thank you-thank you-Samilcar-It was the light bulb. Fixed and I am now not haunted.Ed Wood

That's an other one solved, good!
But you still want to fix those straps, they prevent the wood panel from becoming a deadly projectile straight into the face of your passenger in case of airbag deployment.
I myself shouldn't drive at all without that being fixed.
