Default ECU Tuning on an Older Model

Thinking of getting an ECU tune on my 98' XJ8. I want the car to make more power, but I have some concerns. I could use some suggestions for companies that specialize in ECU tuning. Not really sure how the age of the car will affect their ability to tune. If anyone has done this in the past and can give me some pointers, I would greatly appreciate it.

If you do a search I think you will find that it's not available, although some questionable outfit may make claims. Sort of like the $50 electric supercharger.

Buy a XJR is the most common suggestion.

Echoing the above statement, it's really just a scam w/ the XJ8.

In the UK there's only an XJR tune and that can be tricky for the ECU to accept. As stated, there really isn't an option for a tune on these cars - again if you want more power, Jaguar made the R cars.
