Default It's getting colder, no heated seats.

Ok, now it getting colder I would like to have my heated seats working, over the summer I kept pushing this to the back burner.

Both seats butt and back pads do not heat up, I have checked the fuse and it good. The button works (red light comes on), the seat timers work, because they automatically turns off.

This points me to the heated seat pads, how can I check them.

I love heated seats, in the BMW the were WONDERFUL!! on cold days.

They're controlled with the good old brown relays under the front seats and the rears have their own larger relays on one of the rear heal board fuse boxes, should be passenger side on lhd cars.
First thing to check is the relay fitness on each front seat, if you move it so you can get an arm in to swap them instead of unbolting. Unbolting is by 4 torx 60? bolts at each corner of the runners, tilt the seats forward to swap. A tip is borrow a brown relay from something else in the car, but make sure you know what it is and function so it's known good, or carry a few spares...
Rears are dedicated so try a swap/reseat and hope they work.

You can test the V on the loom to each pad once enabled.

Finally the seats will only work if the temp of the seat is below the pre set temp of the thermostat (interior)
Whats your outside temp?

In the morning around 35 45 degrees.

I was reading a previous post on the thermostat going bad and to use a 15 AMP fuse where the thermo is.

Hope it is the thermo, since everthing relating to the heate seats seems to function.

This is not just for one seat, its both front seat thats not working, the rear seat is not heated. So sad for the kids, they loved it in the BMW.
