Hello everyone, I just recently bought a 1998 xj8 and when I turn on the heat it blows cold for a while then it gets hot. Also throw coolant light comes on and off. I've checked the coolant and the reservoir is full, I was wondering if there is a way to bleed the system

If the "low coolant" comes on in hard cornering,....your coolant IS low. This car is VERY sensitive to coolant loss. When you say "it's full", it might be full by all other cars standards, but not the X308. The level needs to be all the way to the neck, and the sensors are known to be finicky, and sticking too. As far as no heat,.....many posts on this forum that you can read about this. As the season changed, and the heating is needed, and a lot of people are finding out that they didn't think about this when it was still warm outside.
Most likely you need to flush your heater core, but there is a remote possibility you will need a pump (from Ebay).
Search this forum, read everything related to heating, and good luck.
