I am a vintage computing hobbyist, someone with a Jaguar XJ220 is bringing me an old laptop (Toshiba 1950ct) to look at that he owns for the purpose of running the diagnostic software.
Documentation for it, or even any mention of the software itself, seems very scarce. I've attached an image he sent me of the software.
My main question is whether or not the diagnostic software is cpu speed locked - IE do I need an era specific computer (a 486 in this case) to operate it at proper speed? Or can I install it on a more modern (relatively) computer, so long as it can run dos?
I have other questions but they would all be answered if I had access to the manual for the software, but I can't find a PDF of it anywhere. Further, he seems to be under the impression that it requires Windows 95, which I doubt since this car's entire production run seems to predate Windows 95 - however, there may have been something (some diagnostic hardware? anything?) that was added after the fact.
