4.2ltr cam cover breathers.
Has anyone done this mod?
Thought the pressure relief may help stop the gaskets leaking. |
Just make sure the existing breather (and pipe) is clean. That's all you need.

I'm with Doug on that one.
The camcovers are well full of oil when the engine is running, as the drain back holes/slots are on the topside of the camshafts. I do not use gaskets on that position. A decent bead of Hi-Temp RTV, with a liberal coating at the "D" seals, and no leaks ever. |

This time i used a new gasket coated both sides with three bond. I swear by this stuff, when we build drag bike engines the ONLY gasket in the engine that isn't just three bond is the head gasket. Will test it tomorrow & see how it goes. |
