I'm with Doug on that one.
The camcovers are well full of oil when the engine is running, as the drain back holes/slots are on the topside of the camshafts.
I do not use gaskets on that position. A decent bead of Hi-Temp RTV, with a liberal coating at the "D" seals, and no leaks ever.

I haven't tested the latest repair yet, this attempt no.3 on the left side. This time i used a new gasket coated both sides with three bond. I swear by this stuff, when we build drag bike engines the ONLY gasket in the engine that isn't just three bond is the head gasket. Will test it tomorrow & see how it goes.
