Hey everyone, I've just bought another two Jaguar XJ6's, both in decent condition except for the fact that one of them has a blown (destroyed) engine and the other has rear end damage. The one with rear end damage has currently got a 3.5inch exhaust and a supercharger running high boost on it and i'm just wondering what the legality is on it? If the charged Jag is a bit too much work I was thinking on taking the exhaust off it and putting it on my daily Jag?

Well, it all depends on where you are and the year model of your cars. State laws and regs vary widely.

Fed law is also involved sorta. As our Congress is won't to pass all kinds of laws, many completely unenforceable. If a catalyctic converter was fitted and the blown jag no longer has one, it is probably in violation of the Fed law.

Fixing the blown rear end is a lot of work but very doable. Simplist way is just get another used one. That engine must put out a ton of torque as these rear ends are tough. A lot are Dana' and found in many US applications. Many abused here and take it really well. off road trucks, hot rods, racers, etc.
