I have a 1987 XJ6 standard model and am located on the pennisula in the SF Bay Area. Having trouble locating a good mechanic who's willing to work on an older Jag. Anyone in this area know of someone qualified and reasonable? Appreciate the help.

Also you can ask questions here as there are Series 3 experts in this forum who can help diagnose problems with your 1987 XJ, the last year of the 6 cylinder XJ-6.

The body style of the Series 3 continued until 1992 but only with the 12 cylinder engine, renamed the V12, and only exported to Canada, though some V12 have been brought to USA.
