headlight spacing

On a '86'ish XJ6 with the quad headlamps ...

what would be the horizontal spacing of the beams
the easiest way to measure this would be from an edge of
the trim ring to the same edge of the trim ring on the neighbour

and the front to back offset between inner and outer globes
easiest would be the difference in the sections of the mounting
plate in the back.

I have seen a picture of a set, and the reason for my curiosity
is that I think they would be a good way to mount H4 conversions
on a X308.

On the series XJs the headlamps are individually mounted, the inner ones are mounted to the bonnet/ hood the outers are mounted on to the wing/ fender.

The mounting buckets have no provision for auto adjustment either.

That was the guy's best guess as to year and model.

I'll take a closer look.

It's definitely a quad 5.75 inch setup.
