Nothing has worked. Now I am thinking could it be the rims? way back I did exchange the two front tires but I did not move the problem. Had purchased for wife as I already have an 87 coupe. It is too the point I don't want to drive it!!!!!!!!!!! Pls help. Jim

This is interesting. I have been chasing a slight shimmy in the steering wheel at about 50 to 55 MPH for a long time. I have gone through damn near everything in the front suspension to find it, and done lots of the tests you mention including wheel swaps etc. I think, at long last I have found it; but I cannot be sure until the new parts I have ordered are fitted and I roadtest the car later this week. Stay tuned as I will post a detailed list of all the things I have done and what, eventually (I hope) finally fixed it. Also, this story in any event involves poor quality parts manufacture and what can be done about it, so there is a general aspect to my situation that all others might benefit from.
