What about the 1990

Hello all. This is definitely on my list, too...

Does anyone know what the cut off is. Meaning the relays vs the ECU control? I guess I could and should just go into my doggone 1990 electrical guide, bit thought I would just ask you guru's...

EDIT: I think I found my answer... Thanks for all this info non the less.

Where is the door lock control unit on a left hand drive car? Derby is a place you don't need to know about ;)

Thanks guys

Hi Duke85,

Check out Doug's earlier posts (#11 and #13). There is not a single control unit on your car. There are two relays (lock and unlock) that control the solenoids in your doors.

Cheers,

Ian.

I got it to work in the end! Success!!!!! I figured it out through trial and error :)

All the wires were on the driver side.

Hi,

I have just put this system on my 92 V12, https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/373097262454 it has nice remotes that just to door open, close.

I just used the security system plug in the boot and was easy once I had worked out which wires to use on the new controller. My car was negative polarity too.

Function / Jaguar harness
Live / Brown
Ground / I used the ground bolt near the light
Lock / Orange/Red
Unlock / Orange/Blue

I couldn't wire up light flash as it works the other way, i.e. it gives a 12v pulse but what you need is it to ground.

Works a treat. Frozen locks in the winter are no longer going to be a problem !

Great well done. Mine is all under the D/S dash as I have an older model. But yes it's really made a huge difference. I use my car daily and this feature really brought the car into the 21st century!
