Title says it all...
What is an easy and preferably non-damaging location that I can get through the firewall to install some separate individual gauges. (My dashboard instruments wont work, just going to install a temp gauge and use my gps for speed... )

Very few choices. I recall using the area near where the hood relase cables come thru

On the passenger side of the engine compartment is a panel under the washer bottle that is used for a RHD pedal box. It is held on with four bolts. Undo those and the panel comes off giving you great access to the interior.
